~ Brené Brown
Sometimes as we journey through life, we experience challenges that start to affect how we feel, how we see ourselves, and our outlook on the world. In some cases, even though these experiences are seemingly small, they can begin to accumulate one by one- reaching a tipping point leaving us feeling blindsided and unable to experience life in a joyful way. In other instances, a single traumatic event can bring us to our knees, causing us to feel lost, isolated and wrought with despair.
In either case these events- or the meaning we assign to these events, can challenge our ability to cope in a way that is positive and productive. Often times, this negative self-talk goes on for so long that it becomes our “new normal” and before we know it we are feeling disconnected in our relationship with ourselves and the people we love the most.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Brene Brown says, “We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.” - which is the cornerstone philosophy at Chabot Counseling. Together, we co-create a custom plan for you, so you can be fully supported as we reframe your challenges, alleviate your concerns and get you back on track to who you were always meant to be.
